One month old!!!

Our little man is one month old today. Time moves in such a different way with a baby around. Sometimes it moves too fast (like when he's snuggled up on your chest being adorable), and sometimes too slow (like when he's decided that letting his pterodactyl scream loose for no discernable reason). Regardless of the pace time is moving at, each moment is a wonder and we're taking it all in and appreciating every moment as one that will never happen again (and still taking photos of every moment we can).

Happy one month birthday Mr. Rory!!

Bassinet on to the next generation

First of all, how cute are those little feet and that bum stuck up in the air while he sleeps?!

This is Rory during his first nap in the Pigeon bassinet. For those of you who don't know, my dad is one of eight kids and this bassinet was my grandmother's, which she used when my aunt Clair, the youngest of the eight, was a baby. From there, the bassinet was passed on and used by each of the babies in my generation, including me and my brother Mike. Now, Rory is the first Pigeon baby in his generation and will be the next to use this piece of family furniture. Its in wonderful condition and as I believe that things made of wood have the ability to transfer energy through time, I believe that the good energy of all those who've slept here in the past and that of the mothers and fathers who cared for them, is being passed on to our little boy as he naps.

The Magnificent Seven

Babies and Moms from our midwives' group. The five starting from the left are all boys, the two girls are on the right, wisely tilted away from the unruly dudes. Rory is the second from the left.

Best of Bath in a Bowl

Despite the funny faces, we swear he actually likes bathtime in a bowl.

Speaking of photos...

From the face he's making, you'd think he didn't like to be bathed. Truth is, he loves his bath in a bowl.
